Crew Protection Enterprises (“CPE”) – Production Services Only
(Crew Protection Enterprises, hereinafter CPE)
By submitting this order, Client agrees to the following terms:
Personnel & Assignment
All security personnel are direct employees of CPE. CPE does not subcontract services.
Scheduling and assignment of personnel, including armed or unarmed officers, is at the sole discretion of CPE. CPE reserves the right to determine appropriate staffing levels and configurations based on the needs of the production.
Confirmation & Holds
If personnel are placed on hold, the booking must be confirmed in writing (email is acceptable) no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled call time.
If confirmation is not received within that timeframe, CPE reserves the right to release the hold and reassign personnel.
Cancellations
Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled call time will be billed at the full quoted day rate.
Cancellations made more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled call time will not incur a cancellation fee.
Once officers are dispatched or report to the production location, the full day rate applies.
Weather & Production Delays
Full payment of the agreed day rate is due regardless of weather conditions, location changes, production delays, early wrap, or other circumstances beyond CPE’s control.
No weather-related charge will apply only if:
- Written cancellation is provided at least 24 hours prior to call time, or
- The production day is rescheduled within seven (14) calendar days.
Overtime
Overtime is billed in accordance with California labor laws:
- 2x the regular rate after 12 hours worked in a workday
If production extends beyond a 12-hr scheduled wrap time, applicable overtime rates will apply.
Description of Services
CPE provides professional security services for film, television, and commercial productions. Security personnel are responsible for assigned access control, perimeter monitoring, and observing and reporting suspicious or unsafe activity.
CPE personnel are not law enforcement officers and do not have special police powers. Officers may only perform a citizen’s arrest as permitted under California law. When criminal or safety concerns arise, CPE personnel may notify law enforcement, emergency personnel, or the designated production representative as appropriate.
Security services are intended to deter and report unlawful or unsafe activity. CPE does not guarantee the prevention of all incidents, losses, or disruptions.
Legal Proceedings
If CPE personnel are required to appear in court, depositions, or other legal proceedings related to services provided for the production, Client agrees to compensate CPE at the rate of $125.00 per hour, with a four (4) hour minimum, including travel and waiting time.
Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Invoices not paid within ten (10) calendar days of receipt may be subject to a late fee at the maximum rate permitted by law.
Productions lasting longer than seven (7) consecutive days will be invoiced weekly.
CPE will provide an invoice, W-9, and proof of insurance upon request.
